Last week we had the opportunity to work with the UMass Lowell office for Toxics Reduction and Radical Waters from South Africa to test an alternate process for cleaning and sanitizing our brewing equipment. This process has been used for some time at places like SABMiller in the bottling part of the process, but never in the brew kettles or fermenters.
The process worked with only a few minor adjustments! Now we wait for the final analysis and report to see what’s next.
It… really is great to be able to work on something that will help the environment and also be a big improvement for employee safety. Also very cool to get all sciency, testing hypotheses and all that. Cheers!
